Abubekir is also the founder of Vunani Resources (Pty) Ltd, a company with investments across Türkiye, South Africa, and other international markets.In addition, he serves as Chairman of DEİK South Africa, promoting international trade and economic cooperation, and as Chairman of MÜSİAD South Africa, working to strengthen commercial ties between Türkiye and South Africa.
